Programs & Services

“Helping Hands” is a very wide sweeping program designed to fill the needs of deserving individuals and organizations. This is not your typical “run of the mill” assistance program. There are literally hundreds of programs that deal specifically with “basic needs” (such as food, shelter, utility assistance, clothing, etc.) of individuals and organizations. While this program will certainly address those needs as well, we also realize the therapeutic value of a long overdue vacation, a new bicycle, tickets for the family to a sporting event or a theme park, or an overdue addition to a business wardrobe. The foundation realizes that sometimes just “a little extra” in life means a lot! What is the eligibility criterion? The need has to be confirmed as "real" and the individual or organization requesting help has to have exhausted all other avenues for help. There are no long, time consuming applications to complete and the request will be addressed as soon as possible. Once the request has been received by the foundation, we will evaluate the request and will advise the individual or organization with our best option for assistance. This could be something as simple as a financial award or it might be something as complex as educating the requestor on all the options available to them. All requests will be considered and will be acted on based on the consistent application of our mission statement and the availability of program resources. When requesting assistance (via e-mail or via mail) make sure to include the following in your request...
  • Name of Individual or Organization
  • Mailing Address
  • E-mail Address
  • Phone Number
  • ALL other options you have exhausted for assistance
  • Detailed explanation of why the assistance you seek is so important to you/your organization

Your request may be submitted in writing via mail to:

"Operation Access" is a unique program that through innovation, creative corporate partnerships, education and open communication meshes various components of the communities we live to make the world a more accessible for everyone. The program focuses on transportation options, creative mobility solutions, accessibility of housing and public buildings, practical accessibility solutions and/or alternatives for individuals and businesses. The ultimate goal of this program is to educate the public at large about the value of accessibility throughout their communities for the entire population not just the “disabled” community. Odds are that we are ALL temporarily “abled”. Any of us could lose any of our “abilities” (eyesight, mobility, hearing, etc.) in the blink of an eye. This being the case, the environment in which we live should reflect such. This program through education and resources will hopefully make true accessibility the norm rather than the exception.

“M.A.G.I.C.” (Mobility Accessibility Global Innovation Collaboration) is a multi-level program that focuses on helping to provide creative mobility solutions and practical accessibility for individuals through global innovation and collaboration. The program offers education and resources to ensure that individuals get the assistance they need to obtain the proper mobility solutions for their particular situation, daily living aids and other tools to make their environments more accessible and will hopefully allow them to quite simply "live their lives"! At present there is a creative modular ramp lease program, an innovative program to offer "gently used" durable medical equipment at little or no cost and a program that will offer daily activity aids at greatly reduced costs. All of these programs are in the developmental stages. For more information e-mail us at magic@bjdavis.org.
